Abraham R. Gonzalez (Abe) founded Quantum Building and Services over 10 years ago. Today, he serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer, providing leadership, oversight and strategic direction over the company’s vast projects, contractors, subcontractors and vendors.
With 15 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, Abe’s vision of creating a construction company using a ‘partner’ approach with the company’s clients has set him apart from other companies in Laredo and south Texas. It’s his belief – a mantra if you will – of how projects should be built by getting to know each client’s needs and long-term goals in order to plan for the future.
“Starting Quantum Building and Services was a dream that began decades ago,” said Abe. “Today, I want each of my clients to experience that same sense of accomplishment. This is what my team and I strive for each day.”
Originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Abe was raised in Northwest Indiana. He attended Indiana University, and today, is a self-professed ‘family man’ married for 18 years to his wife Laura. Together, they are the proud parents of 2 daughters, Emily and Maria, and 2 fur babies, Mini and Ollie.

Juan Jose Vasquez serves Quantum Building Services as its General Manager. He brings to each client 20 years of experience in multifaceted roles that play an intricate part in the success of each project.
From cost estimating, supervision and project management of commercial buildings, and oil & gas infrastructure, Juan’s keen ability and experience in overseeing multimillion dollar projects allows him and his team to remain on budget and on schedule, while providing the necessary flexibility when required. Juan is clearly an asset to the company, and an intricate part of the success of Quantum Building and Services.

Ana Karen Serna joined our team 8 years ago as Project Manager/Coordinator. In this capacity, she leads the coordination efforts with subcontractors and ensures good workflow in order to meet the quality standards and target dates of each project. With her passion in architecture, Ana Karen says her satisfaction comes from interacting with each client to help bring their vision to fruition—subsequently impacting the quality of life in our community.

Christian Abraham Fragoso Zavala is truly an asset to the team. Not only is his Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture a key component of his attributes, but his knowledge and experience in construction as an Estimator, Supervisor, Project Coordinator and Project Management for Commercial and Residential Projects make him a vital asset to Quantum Building and Services.

With over 27 years of professional architecture and construction experience, Rafael Pena is one of our most senior and experienced members of our team. Critical to each project he oversees, Rafael takes on the design/project manager role throughout all stages of the developmental process and serves as the single point of contact for all matters relating to the project in its developmental phase. Much to the relief of our clients, their relationship with Rafael continues even after the project moves into the next phase, as Rafael continues serving as liaison between the Design/Build team and the client.
